20-year-old stabbed over 100 times in Bihar's Sitamarhi

A 20-year-old man was attacked with a knife more than a hundred times in Bihar. His body was later found in bushes. The deceased, identified as Chintu, hailed from Sitamarhi town in the state.

According to the police, Chintu's body and face bore deep knife cuts. Police said the deceased was missing from his house since Tuesday and his body was found by locals in the area on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Chintu's brother accused one Ramu Mahato, his neighbour of the murder. He said that Chintu and Mahato had an argument on Holi (March 8, 2023). The deceased's brother told the police that Chintu got married a month ago and was earlier working as a scrap dealer.

Meanwhile, locals in the area blocked the street following the incident. Police said several routes into the area were closed and traffic had to be diverted.

The police further said that they have registered the statement of the deceased's brother and that the accused will be arrested at the earliest.
